Yuhuan County, Taizhou is one of major low-pressure plumbing valve manufacturing bases in China, having the name as the capital of China's valves. Recently. The first demonstration area of outlet valves quality has been settled in Yuhuan, which will promote the transformation of valves industry.

 

Low-pressure plumbing valve is the second largest industry of Yuhuan's industry. Last year the total output value of valves industry reached to 29.607 billions RMB, accounting for 21.36% of total industrial output value. There are more than 1350 corporations which manufacture valves and related components. Cluster of valves industry takes up more than 50% of nationwide market, having obvious advantage of cluster. 

 

To improve the quality and brand effect of values industry in further, under the leading of the government of Yuhuan, Taizhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau began the creation of demonstration from last January, cooperating with related departments, according to the requirements. There has been 95 corporations in the area. Those corporations have definite scale, excellent plants and equipments. Their inspection capability can meet the requirements of self-control. Most of them has already established documented systematic quality management system, and set up superintend platform for outlet valves quality.

 

To encourage corporations to enhance independent innovation and improve the quality of outlet valves, the government has already announces the plans and enrolled the fund needed by construction of demonstration area into annual budget, highly improving enthusiasm of corporations. 

 

Currently, there has been two demonstration areas of national outlet industrial products quality in jurisdiction of Zhejiang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, accounting for quarter of nationwide total. Nine provincial demonstration areas also exist in the jurisdiction. The quality of outlet products has been highly improved. The events of bulletin, returning and recall have been reduced obviously.
