During several years, China has the most enterprises for producing valves in the world. There has been more than 6,000 valves manufacturers in China. For this, China has become the largest valves producer in the world. As a fitting for delivering liquid, valve has various functions such as cut-off, accommodation and diversion. There are various valves, which can be used as globe valve. Valves can be also used for complicated autonomous system. Valves has numerous varieties and specifications. Valves can control gas, water, vapour and oil, especially those materials having corrosion and radiation. With development of national economy, valves industry has rapid growth.
Based on statistical information from China Valve Association, the production capability of valves manufacturer in China is excessive. About 40% capability is unloading. To solve excessive production capability, the most effective methods is carrying out diversified sales strategy and opening up international market.
Currently, the annual exports of valves in international market is about 6~7 billions. However, only 1.5billions valves come from China, accounting for less than 2% of total exports. So China’s valves market has great potential. To open up international market, firstly, we should foster talents having the knowledge about foreign trade and foreign languages. Secondly, learn to utilize the Internet and information technology. Thirdly, cooperate with domestic foreign trade corporations so that can use its canal to expand exports. Lastly, some corporations can set up points of sale or factories in other countries.
China has already become a member of WTO. China is gradually becoming the largest world’s finished factory, for lowering threshold of international trade and adjusting product construction in developed countries. China’s valves market has larger development space than before.
Valves are greatly needed for strong demand in valves market, sustainable and stable development of state-owned economy and gradual expanding of investment in the fixed assets. Particularly, several century projects, such as the west-east gas pipeline project, west-east electricity transmission project and south-north water pipeline project which need large numbers of valves. In addition, industrialization is coming. Petrochemical industry, power sector and other sectors or industries will strengthen the requirements for valves.
